Dr Martens

The very first Dr Martens were introduced in 1960 as a revolutionary working mans boot by the Griggs family in Northamptonshire. The boot with it's air cushioned rubber soles were definetly something different & quickly became adopted by youth culture in England, starting with the ska-loving, multicultural skinheads who dressed themselves, with obsessive attention to detail, as the British working classes. From there on Dr Martens has been the premier choice of footwear for just about every subculture, perfectly fitting the youth's desire to be different & original.
